Bachelor's Degree is required. Key Responsibilities:Hiring and Supervision:Athletic Directors are responsible for recruiting, hiring, and evaluating coaches and other athletic staff. They may also be involved in the process of hiring and firing coaches. Budget Management:ADs manage the athletic department's budget, including allocating funds for team travel, equipment purchases, staff salaries, and facility maintenance. Scheduling and Coordination:They coordinate schedules for games, practices, and other athletic events, ensuring that facilities are available and properly equipped. Compliance:ADs ensure that the athletic program adheres to all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, including those related to eligibility, safety, and gender equity. Promotional Activities:They promote the athletic program to students, parents, and the wider community, often through fundraising events and public relations efforts. Strategic Planning:ADs develop short- and long-term goals for the athletic program, working to improve its overall quality and success. Communication and Conflict Resolution:They act as a point of contact for communication between coaches, athletes, parents, and school administrators, and help resolve any conflicts that may arise.
